Firstly, the upholstery doesn't hold up properly. We've only been using it for a month and one of the buttons that holds the padding has torn the padding and there is a hole. right where the button used to be. Second, the padding is quite obtrusive/falls off. The ottoman looks more like old 5 year old furniture than brand new. See photo. This ottoman is very beautiful! It has a firm top that we love. We can put a plate (for drinks and other things) on it without worrying that it will tip over. It's lightweight and easy to move. And the fabric looks rich. The only drawback is the cleaning. Lint and crumbs collect in the button area, so be sure to turn off the vacuum cleaner. Also, the texture of the fabric tends to cling to cat hair, so you'll need a sturdy roller or vacuum if you have pets who also like an ottoman.

When this stool arrived I was amazed by the way it looked. This is exactly what I was looking for. After a few months of wearing (sitting on the ottoman) two of the tufts broke and we were unable to fix them. I would say this is only a good ottoman for those who don't plan on sitting on it. If it is in your home and used more as a table, it will be a good choice. If you decide to use it as an alternative chair when you have multiple guests, I would opt for a different ottoman.
