Everything broke after a short time

Only assembled and not used, looks great. (see photo) #1) The plastic doorstops broke after a few days. I replaced them with metal rods wrapped in a piece of transparent tubing. (see picture) 2) The swing mechanism on the lower door is torn from the wall. I'm not sure the 3/4 screw is strong enough in this setup. (see picture) I wonder if the company tested the product in practice or just made money selling junk?

So tedious for freestanding shoe racks

One person tedious to assemble. There are "holes", actually rather points where parts are screwed together. If you don't have a power tool I would suggest getting a hammer first to fasten the screws. The legs and parts holding the doors together were the worst for me. Also, securing the top compartment can be awful when it's worth it; So make sure you do this when the device is laying down. I would recommend organizing the parts before you start building as these instructions aren't the best. I

Looks great and falls apart

Update: A year has passed and now it's officially trash because *other* plastic hinges broke and I can't figure out how to salvage them. Original: A for appearance and F for functionality. This thing is non-functional for several reasons: it doesn't allow you to wear men's shoes longer than 8 or 9; This allows all of my women's and children's sandals to slip and get stuck, resulting in the doors not closing and all the pegs breaking off after maybe a month of use. And you know what? The exit…

Useful only for women/kids shoes

I am definitely someone who is good at crafts and such. But this one took the most time to assemble out of all the furniture I've bought and assembled. And after it was completed, only 6 pairs of men's shoes fit in it. The space is so limited that it is impossible to put another row of shoes, otherwise the door will not close. It might work and fit in more women's shoes. But overall the only good quality is that it looks decent. Processing/quality is also bad. If you are looking for a shoe…

Looks very nice but too small

The case is NOT plastic. It is made of engineered wood. Looks very nice, but runs a bit small. Doesn't hold shoes and if you're a man with huge feet (maybe bigger than a size 10) you might have to tilt your shoes a little to close the door. But overall it has a clean, modern look. I'm not entirely sure why other reviews say it's really weak or unstable. As long as you slam things or kids climb on them, this is a good shoe cabinet that serves its purpose well. I just wish my legs weren't gray…

Reliable and easy to use

A big improvement over the plastic containers we've used before. Very high-top sneakers have to be pushed in to keep the doors closed properly, but otherwise a dozen pairs of children's shoes and the most commonly worn pairs of adult shoes, including a pair of slippers, will fit. We keep it in the hallway, so it also keeps outgoing mail and things upstairs. Yes, you build it yourself (took me an hour or two while watching TV), and no, it's not Chippendale furniture, but it's solid and heavy…

take precautions. Inexpensive fixtures that break

The cabinet is fairly easy to assemble and looks great once assembled. I didn't give 5 stars for the following reasons: The black plastic dowels used to prevent drawers from opening and closing too hard are rubbish. Our little one slammed the drawer and it clicked. I had to replace it with screws. Drawers slam easily due to gravity so I can't blame the kid. Second, if your shoe size is larger than a women's size 8 or maybe a men's size 9, your shoes will need to go in at an angle because the…
