Description of bayite Mini Digital Current Voltage Amp Meter: Accurate & High-Precision Gauge with Hall Effect Sensor Transformer (5-120V, 100A)

Through-hole design: Easy Wiring; Measure positive or negative current; No current direction limitation. Electrically isolated from high voltage power source which eliminates risk to delicate monitoring equipment and also minimizes safety concerns. Display Voltage or (+ -)Current; Voltage Range: 5V-120V; Current range: 0-100A. Compatible with large wire; Diameter of the hole through sensor is 3/4 inch(19 mm). Loop through sensor multiple times to strengthen signal. For example, if your current signal is only 0.2 Amps, you could loop the wire through the sensor 10 times and the signal would by 10X stronger and would appear as 2.0 Amps.

Useless counter. First, it cannot be mounted without major modifications. Designed for panel mounting, but the front flange is tiny and the rear compression flange is tiny and no less compressed than the front flange. Then to switch from volts to current you need to press a small button mounted on the back of the exposed circuit board. Why put a mode switch on the back of a product that needs to fit in the panel? You have to disassemble the panel to switch from volts to amps! Then when the…

Pros
  • Excellent price
Cons
  • Negative impression

Blow out my Harley's stators every few thousand miles and I need real-time output current and voltage monitoring. The thing does its job. Not to mention it helped my stator burn out, but now I don't need my stator/charger system more than 20 amps. Last time when replacing the stator I bought a special drag stator and voltage regulator. So far, so good. I bought stators on ebay. Anyway, this thing is easy to install and I used a tension band to secure the display to one of the handlebar mount…

Pros
  • Hands-free operation
Cons
  • Minor repairability

Impressive little device.

It was very easy to connect. It only has a positive and negative 12 volt supply line and an inductive signal ring. The signal ring is simply pushed over the cable of the amplifier to be controlled. It comes with a 4ft extension cable for the inductive sensor ring, allowing the monitor to be mounted remotely from the live cable if desired. I have one in my van and one in my boat that reads amps going through the main battery wire to the house batteries. It shows my incoming amps, and when the…

Okay not perfect for spares

I would give 3 stars if it was $30 but at $16 it's a steal. The instructions are WRONG - it will not calibrate if the sensor is disconnected. It needs to be connected. Mine doesn't calibrate perfectly either, it reads 0.2 amps with no current. I use it to measure the power output of a generator on my boat. As long as you need to see the difference between 30 and 50 amps, not 31 and 31.1, this might work for you. Also note that the decimal for "reverse" flow is shown on the right, so make sure…

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Long delivery time

Great little gimmicks

I have just received and installed two of these so my rating is based on very limited experience with the lights. Installation was easy; just disconnected 2 wires (in my case alternator and negative battery), slide the sensor rings in place, reconnect the 6" wires and routed them to the dash of a large van (just managed to do it without going an extra inch). ; cable could be a bit longer). I connected plus (switched) and minus and attached the sensors to the dashboard with velcro; they are so…

Pros
  • Cool product
Cons
  • Will not fit all

I installed these meters (4 pieces) in the boat's electrical system to measure volts (approx. 12 volts DC) and amps (up to +/- - 150A) in charging and power circuits (multiple batteries and charging systems). I used three 0-100A meters and one 0-400A meter. Unfortunately 0-100A meters will show 3 digits with one decimal place (claimed accuracy of +/- 0.2A) but 0-400A meters will only show 2 digits (unless the current exceeds 100A ) without decimals, so the accuracy is +/- 0.2 A. - 1A. I could…
