No WLAN. DOA. for tools and equipment

DOA. no WLAN. So much for the QC. A plus. there are no references to the toggle switch function. No QR code to speed up WiFi connection when your device is actually broadcasting a WiFi signal.

Pros
  • Best
Cons
  • Present negative

Great WiFi ODBII device that works

This is a great little device. Worked very well for me on iPhone, iPad and tablet. I was able to reprogram my radio and tweak my truck a bit. Great device that just seems to work.

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for seniors

*** Forscan F150 2018 - WORKING ***

Purchased to use with Forscan on my 2018 F150. Everything worked in Forscan. Both switch positions worked. WiFi worked. The only problem is that if your laptop is connected to the BBFLY network, you cannot access the internet with your laptop. This is a bit annoying as you need a phone to search for forscan codes on the internet.

Pros
  • Easy install
Cons
  • boring packaging

Nice WIFI OBD Device for FORScan

I bought this to make modifications to FORScan on my 2018 F150. The range is pretty good as my computer is on the second floor of my house and had no trouble connecting to the truck in the garage (with the door to the house closed). The connection dropped a couple of times, but it didn't hurt. I'm sure if my computer was closer to the garage it would be fine.

Pros
  • Great for a small house
Cons
  • So so

Easy to use. Works well with FORScan software.

The device itself is easy to use as you just have to plug it in and connect your device via Wi-Fi. The software you use is the deciding factor after that. I used FORScan software for Ford/Lincoln vehicles. Worked great to fix a broken rear camera and calibrate a new replacement camera. Worked better than my handheld code reader for a third of the cost.

Pros
  • Pretty impressive
Cons
  • Older model

Works with Forscan software

Software says slight connection lag but I don't need it for race car setup, just checking the wheel hub sensor and brake pressure sensor on the family van and find out I have a short somewhere in the headlight wiring that I didn't know. The speedometer was also found to lag the four wheel speed sensors by 3mph (GPS reads the same). The tire size is correct, that's not the reason, only the speedometer is a bit off.

Pros
  • Pleasant
Cons
  • Exchange available

Works well with the FORScan app on my iPhone!

I followed the simple instructions to connect the device to my truck and my iPhone to the bbfly Wi-Fi network that the device creates, then launched the FORScan app on my iPhone and tied together. The only trick was that I had to turn off an additional feature (I think it's called MS-CAN) until I was connected. I was then able to flip a switch and access real-time data for my 2013 Ford F-150. I've only had it for a few minutes but it works great with the app I need to get it working.

Pros
  • Happy so far
Cons
  • Will write later
