The brush is too soft and picks up dog hair in the bristles instead of the bowl. When the vacuum cleaner runs over the carpet, I see dog hair stuck to the carpet. Now, despite the higher prices, I have to re-order the original NEATO product. I have the NEATO Botvac D Series.

About a year later, the rotating brush that came with my Neato was finished. This third party brand is perfect for the D3 model and is a direct factory replacement. Filters are noticeably cheaper than factory filters, but for such a price and the fact that I'll be throwing them away in a month or two anyway, they're quite adequate.

I did trial runs to compare this replacement roller brush to the original brush that came with the vacuum. The stiffer bristles (original) seem to be better at picking up cat hair from carpets than this one. His bristles are too soft. The benefit of this replacement is that the design sends the fur to the center instead of collecting a hard-to-remove tangle of hair at the end. I also use a flea comb to clean the bristles on both, which works much better than the comb that came with them.

They fit Neato Botvacs but the filter tab broke the first time I tried to empty them. The little tab you press doesn't do anything to them basically (compared to real Neatos, which open so easily). After the trigger guard broke I had to push the big tab really hard and it eventually popped open, sending dust and dirt flying everywhere. UPDATE: I took 2 stars off my original rating. After a few days of noticing that my vacuum just wasn't cleaning the way it used to, I decided to swap out the roller early to see if that would help. When I took the reel out, I found that the spindle that went into the reel was rounded because the reel is about 1/4" shorter and will not spin anymore. I bought this brush to replace my botvac D85 OEM combo brush. I was skeptical at first and expected poor or ill-fitting bristle quality. To my pleasant surprise, the quality was as good as the original brush that came with the vacuum. Also, it seems that the bristles and the plastic part can offer a better contact with the ground. I bought this product thinking it would be a good replacement for the genuine Neato parts. It seems that I was very wrong. It is of poor quality, so poor that the first time you cleaned the brush, the bristles started falling out. In comparison, the original Neato brush I've had for the past three years hasn't deteriorated much in that time. Of course there were normal signs of wear, but over time it has served very well.
