Description of πŸ”„ BCZAMD 3D Printer Z Axis Upgrade Parts: T8 PTFE Teflo Lead Screw, Extended Length 367Mm/ 14

Upgrade or DIY Lead Screw, it is a necessary part for your printer which lead screw is 8mm, pitch 2mm. The Teflo coating will increase a little bit thickness. If the bearing installation will not get stuck, you just need to use sandpaper to sand off the Teflo coating at the position where the bearing is connected, so that the bearing can be installed. Lead Screw Total Length: 367mm/ 14.4 inch, Lead Screw Diameter : 8mm/ 0.3 inch, Pitch 2mm/ 0.07 inch;. Comes with POM Nut, Material: POM, it is a special Engineering plastic material, common name is"Saigang" which closed to the properties of steel, light weight, wear resistance, corrosion resistance, insulation, non-magnetic, quiet, high strength, tensile strength and compression resistance. Rod/ Lead Screw Main Material: Made of Stainless steel, surface is covered by the PTFE/ Teflo which Generally called "non-stick coating" or "easy clean wok material", it is a synthetic polymer material that uses fluorine to replace all hydrogen atoms in polyethylene. Compare with Stainless steel lead screw, Advantage: Chemical Resistant, Water and Heat Resistant, Wear resistance, Non-Stick Surface, High lubrication.

If you have trouble binding

As far as I know the description says it is teflon coated. However, I have an anti-play nut made from POM. Finding these anti-backlash nuts very handy, I combined the teflon coated threaded rod and the POM nuts and to my surprise encountered a seizure as the Z-axis didn't move at all, the stepper motor couldn't overcome the mechanical resistance. Maybe they are not intended to be used in this combination? Also, the rod doesn't easily fit into the rod sleeve, but this was stated in the…

Pros
  • upgrade or homemade lead screw, this is a necessary part for your printer which lead screw is 8mm and 2mm pitch. The Teflo coating adds some thickness. If mounting the bearing doesn't stick, all you need to do is sandpaper the teflon coating where the bearing connects to allow the bearing to mount.
Cons
  • Packaging is ugly

Can't say anything bad about this product. That works great.

I have two Ender 3. Pro and V2.k This makes the Z axis heavy. So I switched to dual Z axis on both printers. After switching to a dual Z-axis, I had trouble keeping the Z-axis level, and even after applying Teflon grease to the screws, I heard a creaking sound from time to time, and the Z-axis eventually became uneven. I bought 4 of these screws and upgraded both printers. There is no more squeaking and the levels are stable. Mission accomplished. I'm not sure I can explain it just by adding…

Pros
  • Supplied with POM nut. Material: POM, it is a special engineering plastic, common name "saigang", corresponding to the characteristics of steel, light weight, wear resistance, corrosion resistance, insulation, non-magnetic, quiet, high strength, tensile and compression resistance.
Cons
  • Discontinued model

I was so happy to get them. I bought 2. Both rods are connected at each end. Replaced 1 and the one sent was worse than. The one that needs to be replaced! Upon further investigation, I found that there were spots on each end of each lead screw that were not teflon coated or defective. Not sure why all three different leadscrews have it, but all three leadscrews had issues. In the photos below you can see what I'm talking about. As the light reflects, there are clear spots where bare metal is…

Pros
  • Compare with stainless steel lead screw. Advantages: chemical resistance, water and heat resistance, wear resistance, non-stick surface, good lubrication.
Cons
  • Not as thick as other picks
