Like most it was rolled but didn't have many spools. I installed it in the shade on an 85 degree day and had no trouble with this issue. Brought from China, crazy about recycled tire material, the bolts are flat on the end which should be pointed but I got them working, just a bit difficult to get started. This item was purchased for a 2020 F150 to reduce noise and provide a flatter, softer tailgate as a work platform. The package arrived on time and in good condition and all it took was flattening with some weights overnight.
