Like most it was rolled but didn't have many spools. I installed it in the shade on an 85 degree day and had no trouble with this issue. Brought from China, crazy about recycled tire material, the bolts are flat on the end which should be pointed but I got them working, just a bit difficult to get started. Just for pre-drilling you need a 7/64" drill bit. Too small a drill bit and the screws will snap. My 2019 Ram Truck, the mat is a bit long so cut it a bit with a sharp drawer. The cutter was easy - just work safely. Given the bumps in the tailgate, you may not be able to use all of the molded screw locations. Screws are intended for the top and bottom, I also placed one on each side so it doesn't pop as you walk down the road. and loosen the other screws.Start in the middle,work your way to the ends,tug slightly to tighten as is best.It would be better if they provide self tapping screws.Everything is all ok , works for me at a reasonable price.
