Be Ready Industrial Illumination Emergency Review

Successfully managed 16 hours of light. Manufacturer numbers and expiry dates were current. Bought for a power outage in Maine. Have been using the same ones in the army for years and the quality is definitely there. It even comes with a string to hang it anywhere in the house.

These are VERY bright light sticks. You can definitely use them for reading. I think "12 o'clock coverage" is a pretty big stretch. I took one last photo before bed. After 7 hours it was still emitting light but much weaker than when it was first activated. It's probably fairer to say these are 6 hour glowsticks. However, I just add a few extras to my emergency kit and that's it.

For a 6 inch chem light it does a reasonable job, at $9/12 (75 cents each) it's a great value. The green is bright enough to light up a 10 x 12 foot room. for at least 12 hours at normal room temperature (as with all chem-lights, temperature affects light output). It might not be bright enough to read more than 3ft away, but you won't stumble in the dark (even after 18 hours I could still see well enough to navigate the room it's hanging in).
