Description of Beadsmith Multicolored Acrylic Chasing Hammer - 10 Inch

CHASING HAMMER: This two-sided embossing tool features a smooth, slightly rounded face that is used for chasing or indenting metal, while the ball-shaped side is used for peening or smoothing out dents in metal. Use to shape malleable metals such as pewter, sterling silver, aluminum, brass, copper, and nickel silver. METALSMITHING TOOL: A 10.75-inch wooden handle is the base for this two-sided hammer and features a rounded end that increases hammer control and reduces hand fatigue often associated with metalsmithing. The 2.25-inch steel head weighs 3.5oz and has a 14mm ball pein face that is used for adding texture while the 28mm domed face is ideal for dapping metal. GET CREATIVE: Use our embossing hammer to form indented textures and patterns on sheet metal. Use it to create custom made earrings, bracelets, necklaces, and rings. Use with leather, wire wrapping and riveting techniques to form steampunk, rock or heavy metal looks. Use in conjunction with embossing hammers to form domed shapes and other patterns. To protect your workbench and other surfaces, it’s best to work on bench blocks or with dapping or doming blocks. GREAT FOR ALL SKILL LEVELS: These metalworking techniques can be precise or forgiving, making them great for beginners and professionals alike. DIY hobby crafters will discover that with some experimenting, unintentional designs can be transformed into beautiful works of art, while jewelry designers and metalsmiths will appreciate the accuracy of these hammers. Such a shame!

As soon as I removed the packaging, the head of the product detached. Not only did I have to pay closer attention to the reviewers who also encountered the same problem after using it multiple times. Sometimes you take risks and see what you get even after reading and finding mixed reviews. In this situation, I received a damaged item. I don't think I'll be reordering on a large scale as very little attention has been paid to the packaging itself. It came in light bubble wrap, but the packaging

Non-domed face

I changed my rating from 1 to 3 because I realized that this would give a false impression of the quality itself. There is absolutely nothing wrong with the hammer itself. Perfect for those who only need it for hardening small parts and stamping. Solid, perfect weight and size. If only there was a flat face and not a bulging one as it is portrayed! I specifically wanted a domed face to emboss since I already have a flat one. When the receipt came, even the SAID dome collided. But through the…

I'm just starting to use wire and metal in my jewelry business. I have a book on wire wrapping that suggests using a pry hammer to flatten out some of the wire designs you make for one of your projects, so I bought this one. I realize it's not top notch, but it was in my price range and I didn't want to spend a lot unless I was even sure I would enjoy the wire wrapping hobby. As it turned out, I do how to wind the wire. I especially like ironing things with a hammer. Maybe I have some kind of…
