and my anubias didn't like bright light

The light arrived on time as advertised. It is much brighter than the light from the hood my aquarium was fitted with. Actually it's too light. I bought a long 24-26 inch (can't remember exact measurements) for my 20 gallon tank. I started growing green hair algae very quickly and my Anubias didn't like bright light. So I bought some floating plants to provide some shade. If you have a 20-30 gallon aquarium, be aware that this light can raise light levels to medium levels and plants can suffer…

Pros
  • Easy installation
Cons
  • Definitely bad product

Great value for money: Aquarium lighting

I only received the light today but so far I am very happy with my purchase. I paid half the price for this light you can buy at your local pet store and it's a lot brighter. It looks great and is well built. I'm sure my plants will thrive. It's on a 20 gram tank and fits perfectly. The blue light is very good, but the picture I took is a bit overexposed compared to what it actually looks like. I bought an extra timer to automate light cycles. Hope this lasts long. I'm glad I made the purchase…

Pros
  • Satisfied so far
Cons
  • Great price

Works well 5 months service with no problems

As a Canadian buyer it was nice to see it arrived so quickly. I operate this light in a 20 liter freshwater aquarium that is connected to a mechanical timer. The price is very hard to beat. Worked straight away, no problems after 5 months of use. Fits well enough with a rimmed tank and so far I'm very happy with it. A shortcoming is that the adapter is too large and too heavy. It takes up too much space on the power panel, but I find that to be common on many devices like this. If you pay more,

What a wonderful find.

I'm tired of my fluorescent tubes not working well. The tank looked old and tired. The reviews for Beamswork LEDs convinced me to try them. My 44G corner tank had two fluorescent lights. Decided to buy one of each and see how the new headlights do to the tank. I WILL NOT GET A SECOND. No need. The tank is lighter than ever. The fish don't seem to mind. It is still too early to talk about the effect on (all) living plants in the aquarium. Even though the old lights were 18" long, I decided to go
