Expert fitment to transmission filters and accessories

Repairs an Audi transmission, this filter fits and works like factory for a fraction of the price, will use again if needed until all is well

Pros
  • Same form, fit and function as OE
Cons
  • Minor touches

Metal gasket would be much better for this application

Rubber gasket leaks a bit after a few weeks, torque retested and all within spec. A metal spacer would be much better for this application.

Pros
  • Includes o-rings and/or gaskets required for full filter installation
Cons
  • Requires socket

Not suitable for 2000 Passat GLX

Although this filter is designed for the 2000 Passat V6 GLX, the shaft seal is too large (wide) to fit in the Tiptronic inlet. You will have to squeeze the gland with a screw clamp to compress it before it will fit. It should not be. It remains only to lubricate the oil seal, press into the oil inlet, tighten the two bolts and get started.

Pros
  • Special application for this vehicle
Cons
  • Retrofittable
