Rubber o-rings will not fit

This is a quality filter so I'm giving it three stars. However, I double checked that this is the correct filter for my car, but the o-rings are not the same as the original rings. My car actually has three rings but this set only has two. The larger ring is too small in thickness and diameter and does not fit. The smaller one seems to fit. I'm not very happy with that. Be prepared to reuse your o-rings or buy others.

Good filter, bad o-rings

The filter is a perfect replacement for my 2015 Honda Civic 1.8L automatic transmission. However, three O-rings are required for operation and the filter is only supplied with two O-rings. It is also important to note that the O-rings supplied are not the required size and type. Be sure to order the three required Honda O-rings from Honda before changing the filter. Reading other reviews I knew when I ordered the Revain filter to order o-rings from Honda. The 3 star rating is based on the…

Good part not available with my Accord

This could be a great part but I couldn't install it. Warning for 2009 Accord owners: This filter is hidden in the transmission case and cannot be accessed without removing the transmission from the block. I believe in 2011 Honda changed the design so that it can be changed on the outside. Too bad because changing it every 50,000 or so seems like a good idea. Luckily, Revain returned the money with no problems. To edit: I also have a 2013 pilot. It appears to be the same filter for this vehicle

2017 Civic 1.5L CVT: Large O-Ring Too Small!

Reportedly fits 2017 Civic CVT (Revane says so). Don't buy that for the 10th Gen Civic. Installation is relatively easy. Lots of plastic to remove and an air intake duct. This is easy to do at a slow pace for a few hours. However, the oil cooler's large o-ring is too small - I'd say it's big enough to slide into the groove, but not big enough to act as a seal. Unfortunately, I learned this the hard way. I collected all this and drove off and the liquid ran all over the bottom of the car. I…

  • There are new competitors

This is the magic 'not there' filter found on many Odyssey Gen 3 minivans. but this one is accessible from the outside (it's under the airbox and you have to take it out and the battery box to get to it). My inability to locate and replace this killed the gearbox in my '06 Ody when it fell apart and the glue holding the paper to the metal ends completely blocked the outlet port. No flow, transmission oil does not flow to the cooler. The overheated fluid burned my bands and clutches and fouled…

Only 1 o-ring meets OEM specification!

Only one O-ring out of two meets the OEM specification on my 2013 Honda Accord. The o-ring that fitted was a small one (Honda part number 91305-PN4-003) that fitted directly onto the transfilter. The larger o-ring that is supposed to fit in the electroplated case you are removing was too small (Honda part number 25565-RJ2-005) and I had to get it direct from the Honda dealer ($12)! If your Honda/Acura uses a larger o-ring (not on all Acura generations) as well as a water hose o-ring which is…
