Worked on a '71 Super Beetle

Tried everything to get the brake lights to work on my 1971 VW Super Beetle. Finally checked the old switches and both didn't work. These replacement devices work very well.

Pros
  • Very impressive
Cons
  • Hard to say

Trash flew out during drive-on test

This brake switch is obsolete. It exploded in my driveway when I was bleeding my brake system after installing it! Made in China. Highly NOT recommended if you value working brakes on your vehicle.

Pros
  • Robust construction
Cons
  • old

Do not buy! The garage!

Finally managed to install this switch after disc brake update. When pumping, the brakes could not build pressure. Found fluid leaking from the switch around the terminals. It has been replaced with original 50 year old switches. No problem! No leaks! Don't buy this! You are garage!

Pros
  • Switch
Cons
  • Some little things

garbage and dangerous.

I bought two of these (3) pin brake switches. I had a brake light on my dash from the start when they were installed. After hours of troubleshooting, this was one of two brake switches. I didn't notice the dash light for a while as my brake light switches were working fine. After 300 miles (2 weeks) the other brake light switch started leaking brake fluid directly into the electrical connector. Stay with the Germans.

Pros
  • Brake light
Cons
  • There are nuances

I wish I could give zero stars

DO NOT BUY! so cheap. I ruined the new master cylinder. see my photos. I installed and tightened it. the damn thing came loose and got stuck. I wasn't too concerned as I've always been able to get the broken bolts out beforehand. no not this time. I tried welding a nut to the remaining threads and whatever metal they were made of, it wouldn't weld either. I just poured a nut and it fell off immediately. look for another brand! this garbage!

Pros
  • Switches and Relays
Cons
  • Ugly packaging
