Perfect fit for my 88 CRX Si

I have had intermittent problems with the fuel pump not priming when starting. I have already replaced the main relay as it often fails in these vehicles. This ignition switch was exactly what I needed and solved my problem. It was an exact replacement for my 1988 Honda CRX Si.

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Hard to say

1989 Honda Civic LX Ignition Switch Beck Arnley 201-1576

1989 Honda Civic LX Ignition Switch Beck Arnley 201-1576 are too small and I had to carefully enlarge them with a bench drill before I could properly install them. No more hassle or hassle to install and much cheaper than an OEM part from a dealer.

Still not a perfect match.

As another reviewer mentioned, the switch that mounts on the side of the steering column has a screw hole that is too small (I have a different CRX model). FYI, if you're having trouble removing your Honda's steering wheel, the "H" in the center is likely to pop up. A repair manual suggests removing the horn button/plate with a pry bar. I don't recommend their method unless you want to permanently deform the metal.

Pros
  • Best in class
Cons
  • Not all will fit

Works well, not exactly a perfect match.

I bought this ignition switch to replace my 1989 Honda Crx Si. I had some trouble connecting the large white wire connector, but after straightening some of the pins I was able to connect it. I think the tolerances on the connector might not be as tight as they should be, which is why it didn't push properly to begin with. The big problem, however, was the small black sensor (blue/white wires) that screwed into the connector. ignition housing. The hole in the switch was too small for the screw…
