My old wiper blades had a high concentration of metal particles. I checked my other 3 cars under a jeweler's loupe and ALL had blades soaked in metal chips. They didn't have those silicone blades. Still waiting to be tested in real rain conditions but the clear water test has proven to be very effective in removing water from the windshield.

I can't say anything about the durability, but the quality seems to be good. No, you don't have to cut the middle of the joined set, just spread it apart to get a clean edge. I can confirm that these BOSCH ICON wipers will fit. You'll need to be mechanical and patient when you first disassemble the wipers. It is all plastic, completely disassembled and reassembled. Almost returned because I didn't realize the two strips had merged into one strip. When I found out I was supposed to fall apart it made a lot more sense lol. This is perfect for my Honda Fit. It could even be used on a rear wiper, despite the metal strips that made installation difficult. It worked with some additional maneuvers. The front wipers were easy to install.

NOT universal. Bought this for my 2013 Toyota Camry and found it not to be as wide as the original Camry wiper blade replacement. It can be mounted, but does not fit perfectly into the holder. If it detaches during the swiping motion, I not only lose the replacement element, but also the two metal rods holding it. I will be buying an OEM soon to replace them. In the photo on the right is the original of my car and on the left is the Beigaon.

Good idea in theory, but in practice everything worked differently. After trying hard to remove the OEM insert, I found that the ends of the original insert were blocked by the mold. This prevents the metal slats from slipping out on both sides of the insert. Presumably the "cut-to-fit" insert does not have this function. The metal ribs slide out freely. I decided to take the cheaper route with this 2 for 1 wiper blade rather than paying more than double for a 28ft PIAA blade. There are people who complain about the splintering of the connected wiper blades. It's easier than opening a bag of potato chips.
