Stops working after 10 days

I bought this product to use with my new iMac. I've been using this company's products for many years (usually their surge protectors, which have always worked well). My iMac has 4 USB ports on the back of the screen which are pretty hard to reach where my device is. I bought this device to ensure availability of USB ports on my desktop. After a quick and easy installation, I soon found that even though this hub has 7 ports, my new computer was giving me a message that the system was overloaded

Pros
  • Acceptable
Cons
  • Could have chosen a newer model

Expensive but worth it

This Belkin hub looks very sexy as it is attached to the outside of my iMac's base with double sided tape. This arrangement gives me quick access and the band keeps it in place for connecting things with one hand. Expensive, but the powered hub charges whatever devices I plug into it, namely my phone, iPad, iPod, etc. I kept the power adapter plugged in the entire time. Would recommend if you need extra USB ports or don't have quick access to the iMac's rear USB ports.

  • New
Cons

Very nice, very thin

Pros - 7 USB ports, slim design, cables, cons - none yet. With 7 USB ports I have more ports than I need but enough for expansion. Enough space between ports, cables and memory cards don't clash. Much thinner than my old 1.0 hub. Works fine, plug and play and I don't get any notification, faster with 2.0 USB. A power cable and a USB cable from the hub to the computer were included. I bought a portable HD and then had to buy a USB cable for it. Well, if I need more ports, I'll use this one…

Save $$$ Electronics

BAM! Offer of the year! The same items can be purchased for $47.99 at best. I order from Amazon and spend $8 on the same item! brought back the best mall and saved $39! This hub also fixes many problems with UBS! due to low performance and obvious conflicts.

Pros
  • Not cheap but decent
Cons
  • Protection

Belkin Ultra-Slim Series 7-Port USB 2.0 Hub

Belkin Ultra-Slim Series USB 2.0 7-Port HubI bought this hub for four reasons: 1. The Belkin trademark - the Belkin company has been making high quality for many years devices ago.2. I need more USB ports for my laptop.3. I wanted to minimize wear and tear on the USB ports in my laptop.4. Has its own power supply. I have a Logitech k-120 keyboard, a Logitech M500 mouse and two Thermaltake MAX 5s connected to a hub. All of the devices I mentioned work as they should. The hub is approximately…

Got double the price and they play well

I should know Belkin right? I have two of these puppies. Replacement for another pair whose product name is not worth mentioning. They didn't even make it to the warranty. I installed Belkins in tandem for a dual computer (Mac) setup that I use for sound recording as well as film production, photo editing and animation. very heavy stuff. We're always on the move, so these computers and peripherals do most of the work. Word processing, flyers, posters, invitations, you know. These two babies…

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Annoying

Probably the best USB hub ever

Grab some sticky Velcro and you can place one semi-permanently and unobtrusively anywhere. Must be used with the included power cord to provide adequate power to hard drives and high-performance devices. Charges connected phones/tablets/media devices even when your computer is off, as long as your hub's power cord is plugged into an active outlet. Very portable, great design and very reliable! Very satisfied!

Pros
  • Nicely
Cons

Not enough space between terminals

This hub has a very nice slim shape; However, the spacing between the ports is narrow. Some USB devices are wide - wider than a typical USB cable - and this can render nearby ports unusable. Examples of such devices are the Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi Go! USB sound card, Microsoft keyboard and mouse receiver and others. I ended up buying the Rocketfish - SuperSpeed 7-Port USB 3.0 Hub from Best Buy, which has ports all around the circular hub and has plenty of room for a connected device. to any

Pros
  • Best in class
Cons
  • Not as thick as other tips
