Works perfectly! suitable for audio and video accessories

Got this for my MacBook Pro. Works perfectly. The download speed from the Internet via Ethernet is 225 Mbit/s. It was pretty consistent. I don't have many peripherals so it's perfect for me. Note, however, that a connected USB device (like a phone) will not charge unless it's plugged into your laptop. Very small footprint. HDMI works perfectly.

Pros
  • Comfortable to use
Cons
  • Update available

Works very well with my M1 MacBook Air

This is the second USB-C peripheral dock I've tried with my M1 MacBook Air. The previous docking station of an unnamed brand did not allow reconnecting a docked mouse, and the audio output on the docking station had left and right channels in places. The Belkin Dock solved all of these problems: the mouse reliably wakes up when I open the lid of my MacBook Air, and the audio output is properly aligned with the dock's speaker output. Pass-through USB-C charging is flawless. I didn't get a chance

Pros
  • Rugged construction
Cons
  • Working speed

Convenient but limited HDMI output

Despite its quality, the Belkin USB-C Media Hub is only suitable for most Apple products and other limited MAC displays, tablets and a limited selection of laptops. Disappointed given that the product should only be explained in case someone needs a media extension that can display Android devices or consoles without an Ethernet output (like the Nintendo Switch) locally. I tested the HDMI output on several third party products and my Asus laptop running Windows 10 Home was the only device that…

Great device but "Power Through " doesn't support Mac charging

I'm using a 2020 MacBook Air with it. An additional monitor (with its own power supply, connected via the HDMI connector) and a music interface on one of the USBs (also has its own power supply). The Mac's battery is still draining despite being the only device running on "Power Through" as advertised. .This indicates that it is still charging, but the battery power is steadily declining. Yes, I use the included Mac charger and cable. Everything came from Mac 2 months ago. Surprised as Belkin…

Good little helper

This was a replacement for another socket I bought from Revain which died within a year. The other hub was one of the cordless ones, and you plug it straight into the port, which is theoretically "cleaner" and more organized. However due to its design the two plugs started to bend and almost wobble so I bought this one and so far so good. It's super light and not too bulky, and the cord gives you the flexibility to tuck it out of the way to free up more space for your workspace. It didn't…

Pandemic Work From Home Essentials

I bought this USB-C hub because everyone at my company works from home so I had to rush to put together a work from home office. This hub allowed me to connect everything I needed to my Macbook, multiple monitors, mouse, keyboard and power. protective case, how much space it takes up, whether it needs power, and whether to keep it plugged in for long-term use. Belkin validates all of these fields. Another USB-C hub I bought on the fly didn't fit and now I have 2. Buy once, cry once and just buy

Pros
  • Dope 🔥
Cons
  • Expensive

Very disappointed but see update

I bought this to replace my Belkin 3 USB to USB port adapter that worked with the USB-C adapter but needed other connection options. I connected a new hub to the USB-C port on my 2020 MacBook Pro. 2 SSD drives connected. They only appeared on my desktop for a few minutes and then both disappeared. I finally figured out that I need to use pass-through with the power of a Mac. I connected the Mac's power to the passthrough and both drives worked again BUT the passthrough didn't keep the MacBook…

HORRID CUSTOMER SERVICE

I received this product to work from home as a mental health provider during the pandemic. From the start, my video calls dropped. I've spent dozens of hours identifying the problem by calling my ISP, video platform provider, and laptop manufacturer. After none of them could identify the problem, we determined that it was a defect in THIS UNIT. But since it was after the 30-day return policy, they refuse to replace it. I understand this policy, but I also expect the company to support their…

  • Free for educational purposes

  • Cord is shorter than others

Wired and Wireless Firmware Setup

Great hardware, just what I've come to expect from Belkin products. Just a note on pass-through power and wired networks. I'm running Linux on a new Dell XPS laptop with two USB-C ports and no other ports. This makes the laptop remarkably thin but requires such a device for USB, wired networks, external video, etc. I had trouble making a wired network connection to the device even with WiFi disabled in the OS when I found the setting in System. Firmware (on a laptop) to automatically turn off…
