A bit long for 16 " wheels

As someone else said it wasn't short enough for 16" wheels but I removed the rubber foot and it works fine. It stands by foot but not very strong, even a slight bump will topple the bike. In general, for such a price will suffice. If you want the perfect fit for under 16 bikes, go for 100 instead of 300. Back then, 100 was double that, so we can live with a kickstand without the little rubber foot.

Pros
  • Best in class
Cons
  • Can't remember

Rugged design for cycling

Rugged construction. I had a Bracer 100 on a 16" bike and this one on a 20" bike. It makes a very stable impression, but is not heavy. Installation was easy, just poutine over the fork behind the pedal and screw. I never thought this was an aftermarket product. That's really high quality. I tried it on a 16" REI Co-op Rev 16 but it barely works. The bike has little room to lean against so if the wind blows it the other side. So maybe not suitable for 16" bikes .

Pros
  • Consistent test results
Cons
  • No instructions

Might work a bit on shorter bikes

Other reviewers said they fit the smallest bike sizes. Well, partially they can. We put them on a 12" bike and two 16" bikes. On the 12" and one of the 16" I had to remove the inside of the footpeg (with the rubber plug) to get the stand low enough to support the bike. This worked well on a 16 inch bike with no stoppers. On a 12 inch bike, the bike needs to be rotated properly and the footrest needs to be angled slightly to support the bike.

The Bell 300 is not designed for 16 " bikes as advertised.

This is a great kickstand IF you are buying it for a 19" or larger bike (probably an 18" bike). BUT don't believe their claims that it fits 16" bikes (unless you remove the rubber foot extension and want a kickstand with a bare metal edge!). To add to the confusion, the seller annoyingly listed their models as more like color - / Style options available as individual products. The 300 is designed for 19" and up and comes with an internal spring and an upgraded rubber foot. The Bell 100 fits…

Pros
  • Pretty packaging

Inexpensive for a kickstand. I'm buying one for a kid and suddenly my other kids want one. So now I have three coasters. Everything arrived in perfect condition, easy to install and works perfectly. It works great with 19" and 24" wheels, but I had to install it on the smallest bike without the rubber stand. The bike was listed as 16 inches but I think the wheels are closer to 15.5 inches. The kickstand is too big for a bike this size unless you remove the extension. I tried putting another…

WARNING Not suitable for a 16 " bike

Let me first say that I'm not the type of person to write a lot of reviews, both positive and negative. But it was so cumbersome to buy and install that it should take less than 5 minutes. This is a solid and well constructed stand that is mis-sold. WARNING it will not work with a 16" bike. This is the second Bell Bracer I have bought. I first bought a Bell Bracer 300 because they said it would work with 16" wheels, I had to returning because it didn't fit. I don't understand how this stand can

Pros
  • Handy item
Cons
  • So far so good
