My first little hand grater and I was impressed. I found it good that the cut surfaces don't reach to the edges so as not to cut my hands. I used it to grate a semi-sweet candy bar to decorate a cheesecake. I will use lemon zest when I can get fresh ones. Cleaning was easy, I just sprayed it in the sink and put it in the dishwasher.

This was posted as Lemon Zest and Parmesan. It's just a narrow grader, makes lemon zest mash, not zest. Our old mic is sharper. I threw it in the trash because a plain grader is narrow and it's not a microplane, just a narrow dumb grader isn't much good. Looks good, is boring and makes a mush without seasoning.

The handle is very ergonomic. It is durable and built to last. It can be held at an angle on the countertop over a bowl or saucer, or it can be held over a pot or pan and rubbed directly into the dish as it cooks. It's definitely more versatile than the 4-sided pyramid. Very sharp and easy to clean. It even comes with a nylon brush to remove anything stuck in the blades. It is easier to clean if you wash and rinse after use.

I bought this mainly to taste citrus, but I've also used it for cheese, ginger and chocolate. Depending on the thickness of your fruit, it usually only takes one swipe to rub off the peel and leave behind the white pith, which is what you want. I really like that it comes with a small brush to remove all the grated food and also to help with cleaning. The blades are very sharp and I hope they stay sharp for a long time. The protective cover protects the blades and your hands in the drawer.
