STRAIGHT FOR PASSAGE

Are you frustrated with the slanted ends of the SATA power supply? Connect to one of them and get two straight ends for your SSD straight out of the sky. Works great as a splitter and improves drive mounting options where PSUs have 90 degree connectors when you need a straight one. My job absolutely only needed one, so I got a spare for future needs.

To stay updated! only 5 inches, not 8! As the advertised length seems like a hoax, the rating has dropped

Disappointing, it's not even 6 inches including ports on either side. The cables are each about 5 inches (12 cm) long, 8 inches is more like the total length of the two extensions combined, which is a scam. I mentioned in my previous review that the cables are too short but didn't realize they weren't even as advertised until other customers noticed. I feel cheated which also means that in this situation the cable is pulled taut and can result in it becoming disconnected or worse, partially…

Need to share SATA power for more components? Look no further

Works great! An easy way to split SATA power when you don't have enough for all your internal components. Since I had multiple fans and hard drives, I quickly ran out of SATA power from the PSU. I bought several of these and problem solved!

The simple answer is to power the second SSD

I needed this SATA power supply splitter to add a second SSD to my system and it worked great, got me up and booting in minutes with a new drive. I bought a drive mounting kit to install 2 2.5" drives in a standard 5.25" hard drive bay. It came with SATA data cables, but only had a power supply on an old 4-pin connector, so no power option. I ordered this twin pack - only needed one but now have a spare and it worked as soon as I plugged it in and restarted. The quality seems to be very good.

8 " 15-pin SATA YY splitter power cable x 2 packaged

This product works as advertised. Seems to be well made. I didn't give it five stars because the plug didn't fit into the existing socket snaps into place, I had to put a ty-rap around the connection to make sure it wouldn't come loose in the future.To me it's not a deal breaker though.I would buy this again.

useful cable: computer and accessories

One of those purchases that stay put until you need them! Bought in case I need it for a computer repair project. It was not needed for this project. Fast forward 6 months needed for another project. Worked as advertised and you get 2 of these in a pack. It's worth staying nearby.

Good quality, clips are a great bonus

Great product that was key to getting my small form factor Dell to work with a graphics card that required performance. Dell does not ship any additional headers on the motherboard, and the power supply itself is proprietary and cannot be upgraded due to specific wiring. So my work consisted of using this to disconnect the SATA power from the HDD and then connect the new 15 pin SATA connector to the 6 pin to allow the GTX1650 OC GPU to get juice. Boot Failed - Computers & Accessories

I bought these cables because my retro gaming pc's PSU didn't have enough sata power cables to add another hard drive. The PSU is 520W and had enough room to drive. After installing these splitters and trying to install the game, the computer kept throwing hard drive errors, after which the hard drive turned off (due to a power outage). This probably works for most people, but not for SAS -> SATA cable adapters.

I don't know how to see this. On the one hand an excellent adapter. The wires are thick, the Y connector is strong. For most people connecting this to a SATA drive there won't be a problem, and that's a big one. However, this is not a permanent solution for me. I'm using a Mini-SAS splitter cable and needed some extra SATA power to power up my home server. The unilateral sides rest on a metal clip to hold the connector in place.
