Description of Acero Olive Wood Pepper Mill by Berard

Deviations in the wood grain give each piece its distinct personality so no two pieces are alike. Handcrafted and made of beautiful olive wood and accented with a stainless steel accents. For best results, hand wash with mild detergent and dry thoroughly. A light wipe of food safe mineral oil/beeswax can be used to restore wood to its original luster. Do not put in the dishwasher.

Do not buy! - Kitchen Utensils and Gadgets

I love the look of the pepper mill. However, this does not work. I am extremely disappointed. I would not recommend buying.

This is the worst pepper mill ever!

Looks nice but doesn't work at all. The grinder is so worn that the spring is constantly jamming, making it impossible to refill the peppercorns. The only good thing about this product is its looks.

Pros
  • Special offer
Cons
  • Minor imperfections

Excellent mill, nice finish.

I bought this item together with a salt shaker from the same manufacturer. I like the wood and the finish and it works well when sanding with fine sanding size adjustment. Filling can be tricky - you hold it upside down, remove the plastic nut at the bottom, then remove the cap. and spring. To be on the safe side, I usually fill this over another bowl to hold the peppers that fall off the side while filling, and use the small bowl to hold the three pieces I removed for filling . While I've had…

Looks great, but is mostly useless

We bought this mill and a matching salt mill. We bought them because we love the style. Amazing how limited the selection of salt and pepper grinders is. The salt grinder works great, but this pepper grinder didn't work at all. We've had it for about a year so we've given it a more than fair chance and I'm just starting to write this review. But I'm going to throw this thing in the fire pit. It seems that the mechanism cannot grab the peppercorns. Every now and then he'll grab one and you can…
