fine yarn; great colors for little boys

My girlfriend's new grandson loves this blanket. He is so soft and hugs him all the time. His older brother wasn't happy he didn't get one, so we're now working on getting him his own "quilt". Great yarn!

Pros
  • New
Cons
  • Outside

Good choice for knitting and crocheting

I've been using Bernat Softee Baby for baby blankets for many years. 30+. Love the finished project - soft, washable, not too heavy, will endure lots of love over the years. Two of them are worn out - after more than 6 years of continuous use. both were the baby's favorite security blanket.

Pros
  • Handy item
Cons
  • Clarity

Too expensive the best in knitting and crocheting

Yarn is less than I expected for such a price. I bought twice as much for the same price, the only reason I got it was because I needed to finish my granddaughter's board and couldn't find it at Joanne's or Michael's. Now I hope that's enough for me to finish. :(

Pros
  • A lot of positive emotions
Cons
  • The shape is not needed

Baby's Favorite - Knitting & Crochet

Softee Baby Yarn is my favorite yarn for knitting baby blankets. It seems that every quilt I make becomes a kid's favorite - to the point where I just don't want to take my eyes off the quilt. I couldn't ask for a better rating! It can also be machine washed on a constant spin or for delicate fabrics and tumble dried on a medium setting.

Pros
  • Expensive but decent
Cons
  • Neutral

A bit pricey but great yarn

I love the softness of this Bernat yarn - the colors complement the blue I ordered for the baby blanket. It only gets 4 stars because it wasn't exactly the length advertised on the box (about 14 inches shorter) and the price was higher than Joanna's, but I needed it right away so I was willing to pay for the convenience. I always buy Bernat for baby blankets because it's so reliable and soft. I would only buy from this seller again if Joanna weren't there.

  • Quick Change

Bernat Softee baby yarn is great.

I use Bernat Softee Baby to make baby blankets. I have made over 20 blankets. The quality is excellent. Due to the Covid pandemic I had to order extra skeins to complete the quilt. The price I had to pay is outrageous. It costs $5.99 and you can always find it at a yarn store. I give 5 stars for the yarn but not for the price.

Pros
  • Durable finish
Cons
  • Damaged

I love how fluffy this yarn is

I love how fluffy this yarn is. It spreads a bit when working and is uneven, which makes it a bit difficult to work with, but the result is nice. I came across a large ball of baby ombre, and it's a very similar color, but there's a noticeable difference in texture. I've attached photos of both side by side, the little one on the left with my hand on it - baby baby

Pros
  • Dense construction
Cons
  • No Automated

Good but fine yarn

This is a Bernat Baby yarn in green, grey, white and blue. The yarn weight listed on the package is 3. I found it to be a light 3 yarn and found it a bit difficult to work with. This might be due to the pattern itself (requiring a weight of 3), but even for a weight of 3 it just seemed flimsy. I think that can be explained by the fact that it's listed as Bernat SOFTEE Baby. This is an extra soft and lightweight yarn that is ideal for newborn projects. I've never worked with softee baby yarn…

Pros
  • Excellent general properties
Cons
  • Doubtful
