Good flashlight, dangerous bottle holder/belt clip

Good flashlight, dangerous bottle holder/belt clip. It stays on the belt for no more than 5 minutes. It's so poorly made that it keeps falling off the side, damaging floors and risking burns. Gasomatics should be ashamed of releasing such an inferior dangerous thing.

Pros
  • Weight
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging

The best Mapp flashlight on the market.

The torch is cool. Super high temperature And if you have a steady hand, you can use the trigger to control the size of the flame on the fly. The only complaint is that the tip isn't removable, so it's very difficult to clean if solder or dirt gets inside. You can solder 3/4" or smaller tubes fairly easily.

Pros
  • A sea of positive emotions
Cons
  • Everything is fine so far

Good flashlight. with problems.

I bought one of these lights about a year ago and they initially worked great. It hasn't ignited or leaked gas lately, so I ripped it open. Mechanically this was found, but a small piece of plastic broke off the trigger lock, disabling the entire hood. I bought another flashlight so of course I still think it's decent but it can definitely be improved. It's three stars.

Pros
  • Inspires confidence
Cons
  • Has some flaws

Good flashlight but don't take it to work without a spark igniter

I like this flashlight because it allows me to get into hard to reach places where it's difficult to install a flashlight attached directly to the tank. The fixed reservoir also eliminates the typical flame surges when moving the burner as a reservoir to heat multiple sides of the faucet. That would be ideal, except that the piezo ignition doesn't always work and seems to get worse over time. I now carry a flint spark igniter and have given up using the auto-ignition function on the flashlight.

Pros
  • Great construction
Cons
  • Can't remember

Disappointed with the lifespan

I was hoping that by buying a Bernzomatic I would get a quality unit but it only lasted about 2 months before the igniter stopped working. I really enjoyed the freedom not having a bottle on the sink gave me. This greatly simplified the work, especially at close range. The holster was a joke. The nozzle didn't stay in there well, and the bottle was very uncomfortable when in a holster. I just put the bottle near my work station and it worked better. Hopefully other buyers of this device will…

Pros
  • Handy item

  • Slightly torn

Seems there is something wrong with the valve

The flashlight worked fine. if it worked. I've only had it for two weeks and have used it on two small propane projects. On my third project, the flashlight stopped working. It looks like something is wrong with the valve. I hear a slight hiss, but not much pressure, not enough to light a torch. Tried with the valve fully open and every intermediate position. I replaced the torch with one from Mag-Torch. Much more reliable, but without auto-off. Gas always flows when the valve is open. The only

CHEAP QUALITY BREAKS

Terrible, bad quality, not like before. Avoid, avoid, avoid. We bought it in February 2019 to replace the same Bernzomatic we bought in 2007. He looked the same. But it wasn't the same. Our old one was still working after 10+ years but wouldn't ignite spontaneously so we decided to replace it. When the new one arrived we both complained about the poor quality of the materials. It looked cheap and flimsy compared to the old one. It felt like it was about to break. How did the new one fare? After

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel

Poor description and NO REFUND!

The seller does not accept returns! And 2 weeks after my purchase, the price has dropped by 30%! The description on the website is wrong on two counts: 1. "Easy to get into hard-to-reach places" - the head is the same as the standard Berzomatic head, same angle. The hose can make it more flexible, but I don't see it getting noticeably smaller than the regular non-hose model. 2. "Adjustable Flame" - The WARMTH of the flame is controlled by adjusting the gas flow, but the SIZE of the flame…

Pros
  • Elegant design
Cons
  • Long delivery time

Good soldering torch. A must have for HVAC and Plumbing

I use it almost every day to solder tubing and refrigerant components. The design is good. I use a loose tie in the top loop to hold the tank in the holster. The flashlight will light up on the first or second pull of the trigger most of the time. Trigger ignition and flow control make soldering joints much easier, especially when the location or position is less favorable. The regulator works fine. I've had the same MAPP gas tank for a while and this burner doesn't seem to be burning much gas.

Pros
  • Handy item
Cons
  • So far so good
