I ordered this product to try and was very skeptical that it would even work! To my surprise, it really works! It really needs to be washed in cold water and soaked for at least 40 minutes, preferably longer, before going into the wash cycle. Followed directions and washed a couple of towels and a pair of white shorts in warm water and nothing smelled fresher or looked cleaner. It looked like the clothes were swirling in the water. I have been using these laundry balls for 4 months now. For the past few years, I've been looking for alternatives to harsh chemicals to clean the entire house. I used unscented plant-based laundry detergent for at least a year before trying it, so I'm used to unscented laundry. I am very satisfied with the cleanliness of my clothes. My boyfriend and I attend kickboxing classes and have had no problem with the lingering smell from our workout clothes. I mainly use them for cold and warm washes.
