Quality clamp in hand tools

Bought several of these clamps in different versions for the Miller Arcstation 30 FX (which I highly recommend). Modified them to fit the table and viola, a very efficient and useful instrument. Bought another one today.

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • Cleanliness

I LOVE THESE BESSIES.

I LOVE. A few extra bucks and no frigging hassle with settings and fuss like in heaven. I have quite a big box of trash clips that look almost the same but are wrong 100 times!

Pros
  • Easy setup
Cons
  • There are nuances

Autocorrect is great!

The automatic thickness setting is a great thing. I built them into a cookie cutter to secure supplies while keeping the carpenter firmly on his rail while cutting. Wherever the carpenter's engine slips back and forth, there's always some play. Now I can quickly put the parts in the jig, lock them, cut the slot and move on to the next.

Pros
  • a nice thing
Cons
  • some problems

Very good clamps for power tools and hand tools

These clamps are very well made and work great. They should be perfect for clamping on my table saw and drill press. I was very impressed with how they maintained the set pressure when changing to different gauges of wood. My only minor gripe is that there were no instructions for them, although it's pretty obvious how to use them. Highly recommended.

Pros
  • Elegant design
Cons
  • Not bad, but...

Ideal for repetitive workflows. Not so good for a variable workflow.

A pretty ingenious mechanism. It automatically adjusts to provide a firm grip on objects of slightly different depths. It would be nice if it were easier to quickly attach and detach this thing to the work surface. I don't use it often because it takes a long time to get it in the position I need it. It's probably great for repetitive workflows, but most people's workflow is very different.

Pros
  • Practical thing

  • Many things

Clamps are GREAT but could be better with an extra handle

Media could not be loaded. As one reviewer said, once you try these clips, you'll never go back to your old style. The fact that you can set the tension and then swap out parts of different thicknesses and it automatically sets the same clamping pressure is fantastic. However, every time you want to change the distance from the yoke, you'll need to find a wrench to replace the nut at the top. The thread size used is about 5/16 but will not fit a 5/16 plastic handle. (Must be metric, and who…

Pros
  • Removable non-scratch plastic pads included
Cons
  • There are more interesting options.

Failed to load media. A word of warning before you buy these clamps. These clips used to be great, but the mechanism has changed, making them almost useless. because I've used them before for shaper jigs and they were perfect for cone pieces. All of them were wrong. They pulled blocks away from the fixture when clamping thicker parts and did not apply pressure to the parts in the same plane as the clamp. I looked further and noticed that the shift mechanism was different. I contacted Bessey and

Pros
  • Ergonomic two-piece handle

  • Small parts

Bessey Reinvented the Lever Clamp

I am a professional woodworker and bought these for my shop to use with a router I am building. Buy if (1) you want to use it in a clamp/fixture that will be used for a lot of repetitive cutting or finishing work (2) you need to hold material of different thicknesses (3) you want to adjust the clamping pressure to protect delicate parts Materials. Don't buy if a regular toggle switch will work for your application. Especially when used rarely and with the same material thickness. Many thousands
