Works GREAT on my 2007 Honda Pilot v6

This oil pan bolt fits 90% of all road cars and is very easy to use. until the hole is threaded, take a new BOLT and SLIDE WASHER, screw them in VERY slowly so the new threads start very slightly, then tighten until flush into the oil pan. Yes, I changed the oil 3 times, same screw with no oil leaks. Just take a little time and learn how to change the oil yourself. You save a lot of time and money. All the cars I work on have the oil pan overtightened or twisted from an overpriced quick oil…

Only buy if you are an expert

Reading other Revain reviews it seemed simple and easy to install. Boy was I wrong. Background: I change the oil myself, I know a little about the car. I was completely unprepared for how difficult it would be to drill a new oil pan hole. I bought a faucet unplugging tool at the hardware store, but when I was under the car (using my ramps to change the oil) I found it extremely difficult to unplug the faucet straight. So maybe I shouldn't review the product as I don't know if it works because I

Poor quality oil drain plugs

I purchased these after noticing several internal threaded connections in my car's oil pan had snapped. I knew the kit would be cheap given the price but then again this is for a racquet that will only get me to and from work and something cheap was all I needed. However, upon opening the kit, I decided not to use it. The faucet is made of very cheap steel and already has a layer of oxidation around the faucet's threads. While tapping a new thread into an aluminum pan will probably still work…

  • High marks for grip and durability from testers
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging

That's great! on oil drain plugs

First of all, this kit is awesome and amazing. So I read some of the reviews which made me a bit skeptical about my purchase but I know what they could have done wrong. One reviewer mentioned that there wasn't enough space, so they took their car to a garage to have it fixed. Here's what I did: 1. Drained the oil when the engine was cold. (Trust me, it's better that you don't accidentally burn yourself on the exhaust pipe.) 2. I used my Milwaukee 3/8 ratchet with an 11mm 12 point head and the…

Great for Honda oil pan with 14mm bore

I have read all the reviews on this kit. I have a 2010 Honda Odyssey that said it needed a new oil pan. The plug has stripped the threads on the oil pan and a little oil has escaped. I found this and decided to give it a try. The faucet that came with it worked great. After tapping, I added oil to clean the chips and lots of them came out. As the oil drained I put my finger in the hole and then removed it and this technique pushed the shavings out so I did this a few times until no more…
