Absolute junk in tire repair tools

The rubber is so rotten that the bar breaks before you even start pulling the hoop. The tire has been properly prepared with an appropriately sized carbide cutter. I tried using some vulcanizing cement as a lubricant but still broke. We will come back for a refund.

Pros
  • For use in radial or cross-ply tires.
Cons
  • Some difficulties

Saved me $450 - Tools and Equipment

I used it for a terrible puncture on the outer band that tire shops won't fix. You should also replace the good one on the other side. Oh. Mileage on tires 6000 km. I bought all the tools and fluids needed to patch the small hole. Two trips to the store to remove and reinstall. That was two years and 19,000 miles ago. No problem.

Pros
  • Carbide burs, polishing solution, cement and other tools not included.
Cons
  • I really don't like anything about it, everything is fine

You Need More Than Just Patches

So I figured it would be self-adhesive. It may or may not be true but the instructions tell you to use a carbide reamer to clean out the hole and some cement which they also sell. I just decided it wasn't. worth the trouble. I saved them in case I can use them later. I guess I'll just go to the tire shop and waste 3 hours of my life instead :(

Pros
  • Meets Rubber Manufacturers Association guidelines for permanent tire repair.
Cons
  • Low maintainability

Tires still strong

They keep your motorcycle tire going every time. I use spaghetti strings on the outside and fall back to that when that fails. These haven't let me down yet. I used three of these until the tread wore out. A tire with two patches and they still lasted until the tread disappeared. You will need other equipment to mount and remove the tire and prepare the rubber.

Pros
  • Box of 10 Bestpatch uniplugs for permanent tire repair
Cons
  • Cables shorter than other kits
