The dimmer broke quickly after purchase so I was just a switch. Then noticed that the dimmer switch was burning hot! I had it in my son's room and when I touched it it was so hot I turned it off and never turned it on again. Let cool and throw in the trash! Danger!

I have several salt lamps but a couple of them didn't have a dimmer. If you only have an on/off switch, the bulbs will work as brightly as possible and burn out in a much shorter time. By dimming the lamps, the lamps look just as beautiful and the lamps last much longer.

Works as needed to replace the salt lamp as I lost the original when moving. I like the dimmable switch upgrade so I'm glad I have a new one and the fingers are easier to turn on than the original ones, also adjust to the salt lamp more easily. At first I thought the price was high since you can get a lamp for less these days, but these nice features make up for the price.

The cord of my giant salt lamp is definitely obsolete. This is a simple socket, a switch/plug assembly with a tension clamp at the base of the socket - plugs right into the base of the lamp and lives in that cavity. The last one was black but I prefer the white wire. A series of photos should give an idea of what it is and how it works. I highly recommend it.

This is an honest unpaid non-free item considering the review. We bought a selenite lamp for a friend for Christmas, the description says it comes with a dimmer. But it was just a switch. With extremely sharp and bright LED light. We ordered this to try and be successful! Works great and still fits in the light hole. If we have the same problem with the original light switch of future selenite or salt rock gifts, this will be our replacement! 5 Stars! Affordable price and great dimmer!
