Very good value and it shows

The best I can say is "it's a mount". Very cheap design, doesn't hold the camera well. My ear/tongue broke off trying to fix the camera in the desired position. As a replacement for the Arlo Sphere, it's better than nothing and at least gives the impression that the camera isn't that easy to detach. Stick with the OEM Arlo security mount as it's a much better value.

  • Well built

Will not work with angled micro USB

This is a fake Arlo mount. The pull wheel is slightly larger than the Arlo mount, so using the angled micro USB connector is not suitable for the Arlo camera because the pull wheel is too big. So I had to spend more money and buy a real Arlo mount for twice the price. If I could find a 25 foot white straight micro USB cable (with no angled end) I could use it with this mount.

Get almost 4 for the price of 1

Was it a good decision? You bet! These are well made metal stands with an adjustable swivel mount. They work as advertised. I installed them for about a month. The OEM brand was $19.95 each (local major electronics store). At Revain, a pair was $10.99. They look and work exactly the same as I'm aware of the ones I got from Revane. At almost a 4 to 1 price, any questions as to which one you should buy?

Good for the price.

I got them because they are way cheaper than the official Arlo. They are supplied with the necessary screws. I've used them with Arlo Pro 2 cameras and they fit perfectly. The problem I had was trying to tighten them to keep the camera in place. You tighten the top with two protruding flanges that compress the block on the ball that the camera connects to, holding it in place. I rotated it until it stopped, but the camera could still move. I rotated the mount so the ball could only move left to

Excellent until the metal part of the bracket broke off

I bought this item about 2 months ago and have had no problems to date. I wanted to swap my rear camera for a charged one and a screw broke off in my camera. Now I can't attach this Arlo camera or use the mount I have. The silver metal screw (pictured) was the culprit. Unfortunately, the return period has already expired, but now I'm worried about my other cameras. I had no problems replacing another camera mount, which has happened about 2-3 times since the original installation.

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Wrinkled packaging

Warning - you get what you pay for - BAD

Poor metal quality varies throughout, I reckon it's half the price of branded items - half the quality. I used an electric bat to screw the first one to the wall. Each time the bolts broke at the head. Okay, those are screws, I know. But the collar on the mount that holds the angle in place, both tabs that you hold to rotate broke very easily because the threads sucked and jammed, the retaining ring that attaches the camera is plastic and they weren't even cut, so go sideways when trying to…

  • Excellent construction

  • Zero

Why are they getting good reviews?

I don't write many reviews but this one deserves my time as it stole my time and money. These fasteners are of very poor quality. I mounted it vertically with the camera (Arlo 3) facing down at +90 degrees. The mount didn't hold the camera. If I rotated the camera 90 degrees it would hold it, but just barely. So, given the design flaws in the mount, I threw caution to the wind and decided to put in a little more effort. I snapped off the tabs (thumb tabs sticking out to tighten) and removed the
