Great investment!

This was the perfect tool for removing the crank mechanism from our recumbent. It worked exactly how we needed it. Many Thanks.

Pros
  • Hands Free
Cons
  • Almost OK

It worked great.

I could have used a plain guide plate as I've never used one before, but once I figured it out I was able to pull out the various parts and fix Dad's Schwinn Airdyne! Firmly.

Pros
  • Durable finish
Cons
  • No performance

Not for professionals for sport

If you are an avid cyclist and use this tool more than a few times, consider purchasing a Park branded tool instead. After the first use, the tip was a bit fluffy. I would hate to see what happens if I use it again.

Pros
  • New
Cons
  • Upgradeable

No ratchet and the pedal must be removed for it to work properly.

I tried to remove the connecting rod with a puller without removing the pedal, part of the key hit the pedal, it didn't work. I actually bought another non-handle puller so I could use the standard ratchet from my toolbox and not have to remove the pedal. Otherwise the quality was good - just not what I wanted.

Pros
  • A lot of positive emotions
Cons
  • Bad instructions

Works as intended

I have used this crank puller on various BB standards including Square Taper, ISIS and Howitzer. The mechanism that pushes the cranks away from the bottom bracket is slightly longer than on my Park Tools CP-22. The handle/lever is also longer to provide more leverage. The length of this crank puller requires the pedals to be removed first in order to fully rotate the crank removal tool.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Compatibility
