Big Horn 14510 Pin Blank Centering Vise

I've been making buttons since 2005 and this was the cheapest junk I've ever used, the blanks slide off when you try to drill wood or plastic, and when drilling rifle shell casings to make bulletproof grips, you'd better remove the grip and have a 9mm wrench handy to loosen the vise, because they will get blocked and the rifle shell will still slip through the slot. I wouldn't recommend buying it, the quality isn't there, maybe it would be better if they made a rough surface that would hold the

opened the box and immediately realized that I made the wrong choice. The first thing I noticed was that the red handle was cracked and cracked and broke into pieces with little effort. Fits but not perfect

The big problem with this vise is that only one side transmits the force through the screw. This causes the other side to bind when tightened and the inserts on the unthreaded side to warp more. As long as the stock has corners for the V-shaped center plates to grab onto, you're good to go. However, it will not work as well with a round shaft. Also, since the V-notches on the plates are made smooth, the shaft doesn't hold as securely as one would like. The vertical pressure of the drill lowers…
