I didn't know it was 2 different lights, dark blue only has 2 lighting modes, super bright and 1/2 super bright. While the min5 color has 2 different light colors, white and amber, they are super dimmable and much easier on the eye. I wish I knew if I bought them any other way but since Santa gave them to my kids I can't return them.

These book lights are great! I bought one for my young son for late night reading! I like that they aren't so terrible, bright white fluorescent LEDs. They give off the warm quality of incandescent light. Another advantage is that it has two brightness settings. high and low. I guess it depends on your lighting preferences, but we love ours! And they are rechargeable!

Bought, previously used several times, then there seemed to be no need. Now 10 months later when I need it again it doesn't work. It's rechargeable and will probably work again, but my rechargeable bike lights last longer on a single charge. I suspect if you use this a lot then charging will become part of your routine and this may not be an issue. Overall works well. I love that it's rechargeable and the light rotates nicely. It doesn't get five stars because 1) the metal clip you use to attach the light to your book is pretty sharp and I'm afraid it might tear the page if I'm not very careful (one side is plastic and the other the side is metal - I think it would be better if both sides were plastic) and 2) when you turn on the light, the first light is very bright and you have to press the button again to switch to a brighter light…
