Almost perfect for it's intended purpose. If it were 2 or 3 inches longer I would give it 5 stars as it is a bit shorter than the back of my smoker's firebox.

Let's start by saying this is a good tool. The weld is good in the end and looks like it will last a long time. I use it, I bought it. Looking back, that's not what I was looking for. That's less than expected.

The main purpose of this purchase for me was to have a durable ash scraper for my egg. He does his job well but doesn't get into bottlenecks. The grate lifter is fine, but the hot grate lift angle is slightly off if needed.

Does the job. I didn't have a branded accessory for my Primo Oval XL so I finally got this one and it's great. The "hook" is perfect for removing hot grates when smoking and adding wood, and is long enough to hold you off the fire when lighting. There's not much to criticize, it's affordable and does its job, you can't ask for more.

I ordered this for another purpose and it turned out to be the perfect tool for what I used it for. We live in NH and have a wood stove. The stove is a standard wood stove with two glass/cast iron doors in the front and is wider than it is deep. I have all the standard fireplace tools but they are too long for easy use with the stove. This tool replaces two fireplace tools, a poker and an ash pick. It's the perfect length and has a comfortable handle to hold on to. It doesn't look like black…
