Description of BIGTREETECH Upgraded Direct 🔧 Control Motherboard for Improved Performance

ꕥ1.【High Speed】:Upgrade from SKR 1.4 Turbo for BIQU B1 Ender 3 Ender 5 anet a8 ect 3D Printer Motherboard ,Uses a 32-bit ARM Cortex-M4 series STM32F429VGT6 main control chip with a core frequency of 168MHz that packs enough performance to run even the most demanding UI while ensuring stutter free printing. ꕥ2.【Stepper Motor Driver】:Support TMC2209 TMC 2208 TMC2130 TMC2226 TMC2100 Stepper Motor Driver , TMC Motor drivers can be used in SPI or UART mode by simply adjusting the onboard jumpers beneath each motor driver. Additionally you can connect or disconnect the TMC DIAG pin using an onboard jumper allowing you to use hard endstops or sensorless homing without the need to cut any pins. ꕥ3.【Functions】:High Supports functions such as power loss print resume, filament runout detection, shutdown after printing, BLtouch and other ABL sensors, RGB lights, etc. Note that external modules will be required for many of these functions; VS mks gen v1.4,ramps board, mks sbase. ꕥ4.【Highlights】:Includes a protection circuit on thermistor inputs which protects against short circuits between the heater cartridge and the bed heating element. This is a common mistake made by many users when replacing a nozzle or working on the hotend so we expect this feature to be a welcome one;. ꕥ5.【Note】:Before DIY firmware modification, customers need to build an STM32F429VGT6 version environment on the compilation platform for compilation and use, instead of directly using the previous F407 firmware. For more information, please search bigtreetech github.tects against motherboard or driver damage due to incorrect driver insertion;.

All in all, the job was easier than I expected.

Combined with the BIGTREETECH TFT50 V3.0 Display in Tronxy X5SA Pro (CoreXY) to add the much needed Z-Axis Auto Alignment feature Wish I could use the original TFT display. Of course, the first thing I did was make sure I got the Rev B board before doing anything else. Seeing "HY1904" instead of the killer MOSFET was a relief, and of course there were two seals (silver and green) on the back of the board. Installation was tricky as the two stepper motors, nozzle heater, thermistor, filament run

Pros
  • Brings Fun
Cons
  • Legacy Model

Received a defective block

Initially everything was fine except the E1 was not moving. I checked the driver jumpers and the firmware I modified from an older SKR 1.4 T installation and everything was correct. Then the second step didn't work anymore. I doubled the tested voltages, tested the motors themselves and the current setting in the firmware. Everything was good. Then the cascade error progressed rapidly until not a single stepper stopped working, and then the board itself stopped booting, only a very dim…

Pros
  • Satisfied so far
Cons
