Simply cool! suitable for hoses

These protective hoses are simply EXCELLENT. I have a bike with big tires and it blew out on my second ride through the park. (Small studs) I placed these baddies between tires and tubes and on my next trip to the park I had studs in my tires but NOT flats. Now I drive carefree.

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • Doubtful purchase for the elderly

Waste of money Best in tires and tubes

Goat head thorns plague us in my area. Tired of patching the pipe on every ride, I figured these liners would be just the ticket. To say I was disappointed is to say nothing that didn't reduce my flat tires and to add insult to injury they are very expensive. My experience is waste of money.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Useless features

Works great on fat tires.

Just bought a Specialized "Como". It weighs about 50 pounds, you can't turn the bike upside down to remove the wheels. Changing residence is difficult. The presence of the "Tuffy" protection provides additional safety and additional protection against bicycle tire punctures. All three of my racing bikes have "Mr. Tuffy" written on them. I've never had an apartment that said "Mr. Tuffy".

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • Not automatic

Ride with confidence

Assembly wasn't that hard, I removed the front wheel and removed the tire from the rim, it was harder than it should be, there was a rear end nearby, I got it emptied with the hose left. Took some masking tape to hold one end, then carefully inserted the liner, double checked, inflated the tube a little, checked again and made some minor adjustments. Slide the tire back onto the rim and re-inflate to the correct PSI, which took half as long as the front end.

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • thin

It costs, but it works!

This is the second time I have had Mr. Tuffy brand tyres. I am driving on dirt roads near my house and it is full of thorns. With these liners I can see the spike sticking out of my front wheel as I ride, stop, pull it out, keep riding, get home and park my bike, wake up the next day and not lose air pressure. I haven't had a flat tire since I installed them. I have tires that are 29 x 2.8 wide and they fit perfectly, I didn't have to cut to width, just maybe 3 inches long. The only downside is

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Appearance
