🔧 Bike Repair Tool Kit Set by BIKEHAND - Essential Bicycle Maintenance Tools Review

First review after opening the product. Impressed with the combination of tools in this set. This is a good set for beginners. I didn't want to spend hundreds of dollars on hobbyist servicing my bike. I needed tools to replace components on an old bike (2012). I bought the tools separately and had to return these cheap tools. They work a little better, but certainly not at a professional level.

This kit contains everything you need for basic bike maintenance, repair and modification. The robust blow molded body makes it easy to load the vehicle for service. The three star rating is due to two things that I felt were obvious enough to point out. I would add pliers to this set. I bought a pair of Park Tool pliers to complement the set. The included crank puller is too big to pull my cranks.

They don't tell you what bottom bracket it is for (it doesn't fit Hollow Tech 1 or 2) which I think is ok, it would just be nice to know. I would still give a good rating, but when I went to use the other part of the kit, the chain tool, it broke in three places, how is that even possible? The only working items here are a whip, a cassette tool, and a pedal wrench. Unless you only need these three items, spend your money elsewhere.

Most tools work great. the chain tool broke within 1 month and is now completely broken. I never managed to get the rivet back into the chain and the teeth holding the chain in place are debris. I've yet to find a chain tool that actually works without breaking teeth, and I've never had a tool that reinserts rivets. The rest of the kit is great and works well as long as you don't bother with the instructions that tell you how to use all the tools.

I bought this set as an investment and it has already paid for itself, it just helped me clean my bearings and ratchet assembly. This kit includes pretty much everything you need for basic bike maintenance, except for the hangar gauge. Bicycle technology is not cheap. Learning how to operate your own bike can seem like a steep learning curve, but Youtube alone has enough information to teach you step by step how to operate your bike. I will continue to work on my bike with this kit and update…
