They have larger tubes but still fit. Great ride

Installed on my 2005 Tacoma Crew Cab 4x4. Not true. They have big tubes but still fit. Great ride. They feel a bit stiffer than OEMs but are good for towing.

Pros
  • New to my collection
Cons
  • Exterior

No shock absorber is better than Bilstein

No shock absorber is better than Bilstein. Any German product is the highest class you can get. I am very happy with it. I should have bought it on my Tacoma truck first not the Monroe that sucks so much! I paid what I got.

Pros
  • Quick change
Cons
  • Almost never

Big shocks. Feels a little stiffer than .

Big hits. Feels a little stiffer than the stock Bilstein that came with my Tacoma truck, but it was what I was looking for. I ride very steep gravel roads and these dampers help me feel better on the road.

Pros
  • Enjoyable
Cons
  • Older model

Wrong article suitable for shock absorbers, struts and suspension

This is the wrong damper for my truck and no parts were supplied to even try to fit it. I am very disappointed that other reviews said it was 2 shocks; And I only have 1 to begin with, then I open the box and it's damaged and unusable as it didn't come with grommets or screws to attach it.

Pros
  • Easy assembly
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.

Perfect for Tacoma 2WD Prerunner

There are many rear shock options out there and I'm a bit confused as to whether to use this or the newer Bilstein 5100. Given the way I use the truck, mostly around town and with the lights on - fine. The new shock absorbers were easy to fit and kept the truck at the same height as before. The ride is comfortable and the empty bed doesn't bounce or vibrate like the old shock absorbers when I'm driving around 80 km/h.

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • No instructions
