Don't Buy Monroe: Replacement Parts

I have installed Monroe shock absorbers on my cars because my local auto parts store sold them. good shock Big shock BUT I think I should have gotten the blue and yellow shock. I could be wrong so do your homework I think blue and yellow will give you a smoother ride. Please read on. On the freeway, my Yukon 04 drives and handles better than a new one, but at low city speeds they feel a bit uncomfortable. Overall I think they're a good shock, just see what suits your needs. Also, the beautiful…

Good replacement for Z71 Tahoe

The problem with buying shocks and looking at reviews that say they are too hard and too soft is the reviewer. Some like the smooth smooth ride and slow cornering, others like the European style of firmness and hard cornering. Chevy Tahoe owners tend to camp because the Tahoe is viewed more like a car than a truck. I'm in a tough camp. They were easy to fit once you've done it and the ride was pleasantly taut. It doesn't rattle its teeth across the tracks, but it doesn't levitate either. Not as

Excellent shock with superior comfort

I bought these for a 2004 Chevy Avalanche Z71. Installation went smoothly and both sides were up and running within an hour with the right tools. Mine doesn't go up so I had to cut the laces off my boots and lower them a few inches. Otherwise the protective boots will get lost at the top. It only took 30 seconds and two new zip ties to fix it. Once fitted to the car, these dampers represented a significant improvement over stock parts. The inevitable potholes no longer cause anxiety. The ride…

They replaced the stock shocks on my 2004 Suburban and what else to say, except they're Bilsteins - and they work fine. I believe the hype, the 5100 is a good upgrade for mixed on and off road use. I'm not serious off-road driving, but I do enjoy riding forest trails to get to remote campgrounds. and they are good for that. Recommended as an upgrade when it's time to replace the stock shocks. The stock shocks on a 2004 Suburban aren't that bad, and I was able to get 50,000 before they had to be

Finally found a good option

I bought these for my father's 2005 Chevrolet Suburban 1500 LT for which we have previously purchased original or branded AC Delco shock absorbers for this SUV. However, in the last few years, about 4, I've found that the shocks I would buy from AC Delco don't last as long as the original or the previous set. The last kit I bought for the front end of 2018 was about $300. Up until last week the dampers were poor, noisy with loss of body control and generally poor ride quality. After a few weeks
