I love my Bilsteins!

I replaced 20 year old Bilstein shock absorbers on my Class C RV and found them to be softer than the old ones. I love these shocks and will choose them again for my next project.

  • Permanent test results
Cons
  • Some imperfections

The best shock made at the time.

I have installed and used cars, pickups and commercial vehicles for 30 years and have driven up to 200,000 miles on the set with no breakdowns and a smooth ride. This kit was fitted to an E450 motorhome and made a world of difference to the ride. and control.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Damaged

I inflated the RV's rear airbags to a maximum of 1.5 inches, then used an inexpensive…

Rear shock absorbers for a 2001 29 foot van on a Ford E450 chassis.

I used to install Bilstein shock absorbers on the front axle, now I install rear shock absorbers. The first problem was removing the nut from the top of each stock shock. I had a lot of access to the left (driver's side) but the right side was mostly obstructed by the RV's bodywork placed on top of the chassis. I raised the right rear corner by removing the body frame from the rear axle. . Finally the pressure on the shock was released and I was able to remove the bottom bolt and loosen the…
