Updating my update - but good for everyday use

I bought these because I replaced the front springs with balance springs - 2" rise. Worked great for both; normal height and now, where I have the 2" lift springs they work great. Awesome ride. Springs - progressive leaves. WOW what a difference from the OEM. Not as stiff as FOX shocks but usable for everyday use.

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • There are new competitors

I've noticed that it seems like the shock will drop when the spring hits.

They work well, but I haven't had time to check out the off-road capabilities. From what I could find out they should work on non-pallet trucks with a lift height of up to 2 inches. I've noticed that when the spring hits the jounce bumper it seems like the shock will go down so we'll see when I get a chance to get it on some bottom we have and some low points hold true.

Pros
  • There's something to it
Cons
  • Little things

Night and day performance

Very easy to install. They really make a difference in the ride quality of the truck we are restoring a 2004 F350 on and the shocks were completely done, I mean the fluid was almost completely out of them so we ordered them because they are the best. and the truck drives a lot better, it's safer to drive and honestly it's more fun to drive. Installation was easy, but that's because we have the 4x4 version, so we didn't have any trouble in the front, it was very easy in the rear too.

  • Pleasing

'04 F350 fine

'04 F350 I didn't have time to install the lift before the ride so I installed 4 shocks before I drove 1400 miles. The hits are a lot harder than my worn ranchos, but not as hard as new ranchos. Very comfortable ride and eliminated rear bounce when towing my trailer. As usual a great product from Bilstein. Also fitted an OEM Bilstein replacement steering stabilizer which is much sturdier than my 2 year old Pro Comp stabilizer. Easy installation and I am very happy with my purchase and myโ€ฆ

What is the upgrade (UPDATE)

I have a 99 F350 4x4 with a 2.7 inch leveling kit. I had the same rear ones (different shock absorbers, of course) and what's the difference. I have 35 inch tires and they rub on every sharp turn. This is due to the rare friction. The journey is incredible. Smoother but not thin. Still rides like a 350 but with smoother bump hits. I really enjoy driving and would like to do so if I buy the truck. Great product and can only recommend these dampers! (Now I've towed the 5th wheel with new shocksโ€ฆ

My 02 felt like a young girl again.

Oh my god what a difference. My 2002 f250 has a 2" pro comp leveling plate in the front. And the shocks that came with it were from the Pro Comp "es" series, I'm not sure which. They still had compression, but they just suck. Read some forums about trucks, 5100 is not inferior for this price Some say the Fox 2.0 is better but they are twice the price It's not even worth comparing to 5100 Maybe 5160 but not 5100 makes the best shock absorbers. But not at this price. If you want a smoother rideโ€ฆ

Good service. Fast delivery. Outstanding quality at a TOP PRICE!

Hi guys, first I want to say that they were shipped and delivered VERY quickly. Didn't expect that from FREE shipping lol. Not only the packaging of them was on the key. They also put a box inside to fill the space (see picture). Well the product turned out to be 2 times better than my previous shock. I don't know what brand they are because they came with the truck when I bought it used. Now let's talk about what the shock was mounted on so you have a good idea of if it will fit you. I have an
