Works fairly well in audio and video accessories

I have bought 4 different styles and brands of my cartridges, this one has the shortest cable. But only he worked. And I had a solid range for my underpowered setup. Price 9/10

Pros
  • Handy thing
Cons
  • Negative is provided

Cannot be used immediately

Poor manufacturing quality control. The PL259 could not be screwed into my radio due to careless excess solder. After I removed the excess solder, the device works fine.

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • Something else

Not bad at $20

It picks up signals perfectly, the magnet(s) hold well, you can't be afraid to detach from the car. Gave 4 stars, would give 5 if coax cable was a bit long.

Pros
  • A good product for its price
Cons
  • There are flaws

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Poor quality, doesn't work

I tested this antenna with a Midland MXT275 and it didn't work at all. Antenna cable was broken, also looked very poorly made (see attached photo) Sent it back.

Pros
  • Tested for a year
Cons
  • Basically OK but...

The product does not match the description. The package was opened before receipt, a return is possible. The base is 3mm, in the description 7mm, there are no adapters and documentation in the box - see photo. Return for exchange for the correct item.

Pros
  • . Ideal for a small house
Cons
  • The list will be long.

So far so good for accessories and consumables

I was worried the magnet wasn't strong enough but it holds up great at 80mph. Even hung up when the antenna was going at 75mph stuck to a plastic bag for an hour. My only complaint and the reason I dropped the star was the short cord. Antenna and radio placement was severely limited on my 2008 Honda Pilot SUV due to a short cable.

Pros
  • Weight
Cons
  • Big and bulky

Better than expected!

Im impressed with this little antenna. I was expecting a bit more, but this thing exceeded all expectations. Stays on top of the truck at 80+ Doesn't move. And the important part. Field-tested people report clear transmission. No noise where they used to be. When testing the SWR, it is around 146 in the lower range at 1 x 2 meters and around 444 at exactly 1 x 70 cm.

Pros
  • Best in its niche
Cons
  • I will add later

The length of the coaxial cable is too short.

Good value antenna. The signal is good. The length of the coaxial cable is too short. It's about 8 feet. I need to add a splitter and more coax to hide it in my Chevy Avalanche 05. Right now, when it's mounted in the middle of the roof, it kicks in the back door and grabs my center console. If the coax was extended to 15 feet, all 5 would be.

Pros
  • Excellent construction
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging

Doubled my handset's range in some directions

Very impressed after hooking up this antenna to my 8W UV-9R Plus instead of the standard antenna while driving around town. From here it goes up and down the hill in every direction. My first test with a standard antenna and two 8W radios showed possible standard distances. I was lucky and kept one radio for myself and gave the rest away for Christmas. After I bought the 5W UV-9R Mate, my second test was with this antenna, on the 8W radio, in my car and the 5W version at home. In all…

Pros
  • Satisfied so far
Cons
  • Will write later
