I really like these toothbrushes, the bristles are the softest I've ever had and as they end up in a landfill it's nice that the bodies aren't plastic and can decompose like most other bamboo brushes have no carbon in the bristles. Carbon makes the bristles very abrasive and I don't want to use it in my toothbrush.

As I feared, they turn black with mold quickly. I really don't like brushing my teeth with something disgustingly moldy. The bristles are also too soft. I wanted to like them as they're supposed to be eco-friendly, but the mold puts me off. Also, I can't get used to the feel of wood in my mouth.

I took off a star because the description didn't clearly state that these toothbrushes are about half an inch shorter than my other brands of bamboo toothbrushes, are not as powerful and have a slightly smaller head. I can use it but my husband can't. It would be great for kids.

The bristles are soft yet strong. I'm glad I bought them. I have to get used to their taste when brushing my tongue as I'm used to plastic bristles. It's not bad, it's just different. It's either that or I'll switch to a tongue scraper and just use the brush on my teeth. I like that they are individually wrapped. Love the idea that it's fully compostable, I'm trying to reduce plastic at home as much as possible. It cleans your teeth like any other toothbrush, you probably need to pay more attention to the brushing motions to make sure you cover any stains.
