quality goods. the best pumps and filters for aquariums

I found out about this carrier from "PondGuru" on YouTube. After buying it from Revain for $25, I found the "official" supplier "Greatwave Engineering" and bought another bag for only $10. These bags came with a small plastic bag that contained a few "bioballoons". I have not received anything from the Revain seller.

Pros
  • Consistent test results
Cons
  • Could have chosen a newer model

Highly Recommended: Fish and Aquatic Animals

Added this Biohouse media to my new 40 sump for my 150 gallon Xtra High tank and am waiting for the biological media to mature. I've had 3 canisters of Sun 704B filters with 11lbs of clean media for 1 year previously and my nitrates were zero so I know it's working ask in the ad. 40 breeder swamps replaced 3 canisters.

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • Unsure

Probably works great

It's quite difficult to write a review of biological media because how do you know what works and what doesn't when using multiple media types? What I'm saying is that I tried a test where you dip the end of a dry piece into a small amount of water and watch it soak up the water. It was impressive. I bought this on the recommendation of a guy who makes a "pump my filter" video on YouTube. So I think it will work fine on my system with multiple filter media.

Pros
  • This is great
Cons
  • Some bugs

Very effective, the best biological environment for dirty turtles!

I used this material in a Fluval FX4 canister filter along with Biohome starter balls as recommended by the manufacturer for about 45-50 gallons of water in a 90 gallon tank, which is my two large, very dirty aquariums contain turtles, which have always been a big problem to keep clean. After trying many other biomedia over the years, I was finally able to create a lasting bacterial balance in the water with these products for the first time. Great! A bit pricey but worth it!

Pros
  • Lots of positive vibes
Cons
  • No power
