Love this towel. It's surprisingly light, but dries superbly. The material makes drying off easier instead of running up and down your arms/body. But it soaks up water so quickly it doesn't even matter. It is also very easy to fold back into its original shape. It will definitely be a good addition to a beach trip.

The perfect Zion towel. It worked great after a river swim and when folded is very compact for a backpack. Also, we've used it as a picnic blanket on some boulders and the fabric didn't catch on dirt or debris, snapped off and packed straight into a mesh tote bag. The only thing that could be improved would be if there was an elastic band attached to it to keep it from puckering.

When I opened the towel I smelled an incredibly strong chemical odour. So I hand washed it and the smell was still there. Then I washed it again and hung it outside and the next day it was gone. so strange beginning but no effect at the end. As for actual effectiveness, it's a large towel. I have medium to short hair but I expect even a person with long hair to be able to dry completely. The towel dries quite quickly in the air - at least when it is used to dry the body.
