🧼 BISSELL Proheat Essential Carpet Cleaner and Shampooer: Efficient Cleaning Solution in Black (Model 1887) Review

I have had many different brands of steam cleaners. We have pets and children and just life. I also have a white carpet. This machine works great and I like that it's not heavy to carry and that it's narrow so it can clean small spaces. The tools that come with it are very useful and great for cleaning furniture. The tank system is easy to use. I highly recommend this car.

Does not clean well. It is extremely difficult to see how much dirty water/soap is left. Extremely difficult to empty completely and impossible to clean. CARPET DESTROYED: I was using the upholstery tool to clean our sofa and the underside of the machine ruined the carpet near our sofa (looks like the machine chewed through the carpet but I was only using the upholstery tool) - see photo (damage circled in blue).

Love this cleaner. We rented our house to a family with 4 children while we were abroad. They have lived in the house for 6 months. When they left, the carpet was a mess. It has been a few weeks now that the cap in the cleaning tank has already broken making the machine unusable as it cannot suck in water. Good carpet cleaner. I have no complaints. The tank could use a little more durability, but it does the job! What I like the most is that it has excellent suction power and hardly leaves the carpet damp! This significantly reduces the drying time of the carpet. The brushes clean the machine floor well. I was looking for a new carpet cleaner and based on some positive reviews I decided on this Bissell. I only give it 2 stars because 1: It has poor water suction. It leaves too much water on the carpet and the suction power gets even worse if you use an upholstery hose and hand cleaner.
