🔒 Secret Compartment Brainteaser Kit: Bits and Pieces Review

I have most of the difficult Hanayama puzzles and struggle to find cool new puzzles that put well together. It fits these two accounts. It's fairly simple, a 2 or 3 minute puzzle at best, but it's a really nice piece of machinery and well put together. I have a much more complex puzzle box, but it's not as creative as this mechanism. Put a challenging puzzle in the box and give it to a friend for a laugh. :d Has a nice handmade feel.

I buy a puzzle box/maze cube etc for my adult children every year to get them to work on a Christmas present. I have to say this is one of the best. Even with the instructions, it was difficult for me to understand, but I managed. It's well built. The only thing I don't like is that the kids can't see what's inside, but I knew that when I ordered it and they already know there's going to be something good in it! I definitely recommend this product. I can't wait for Christmas.

Bought as a gift and for a beginner it was pretty neat. It had enough movements that were somewhat predictable, but it will hold your attention. It was also nice that there were slots to put cash/coins in to add to when gifting. However, the box was very light, so I wouldn't attribute a really long lifespan to it. The box had instructions on how to open it, so if you're giving it away you can take it out ahead of time.

I bought this for my nephew's birthday. Since he loves Minecraft I thought why not give him an actual puzzle with a price in it (I put $10 in it but didn't tell him). I took the instruction page out of the box to make things more difficult. After 40 minutes he asked for help so I gave him the first step. He opened it 2 minutes later. Since my son, who is in his thirties, only needed money for Christmas, I decided to make it harder for him. That was excellent! He got a little frustrated and put it on, then after a while tried again and did so until he finally got to the treasure inside! Then the fun continued and everyone else tried. And yes, I had to cheat and read the instructions to get the money there! This is a well made product perfect for keeping on the conversation table to challenge all the guests!

I'm the kind of person who reads the instructions BEFORE trying to maneuver anything in the box. So I was excited to learn the "secrets" of the mysterious box and immediately looked for a guide. The drawn instructions are well written and easy to follow. However, when I got to the final step of pulling the lever up (the only part that should come loose), the bottom part fell off too!
