Works well, battery is dead from little driving. Tough to the touch, waterproof (it rained during the night). I plugged it into an outlet, attached the alligator clips and it worked. One minus, a short clip "O". it hardly protrudes a few centimeters over the edge of the battery. I was hoping to connect to the battery and get through the grill so I could just plug it in overnight without opening the hood and leaving it loose. I will be looking for a 2 foot extension for a 'special' cable. Stillβ¦
First of all, I'm an electronics engineer and I've dealt with most types of batteries in my projects. I also use and buy chargers fairly regularly. I have this 2013 Ford Taurus which I have recently found to be above normal parasitic battery drain which is intermittent but a fully charged battery will drop to 12.2 volts in 2 days and drop below the initial voltage in 5 days of inactivity . I always fix my electrical issues myself, but the difficulty of keeping track of things instead of justβ¦
Finally I charged the dead and empty car battery. Initially a dead battery will not charge and I read the instructions that it requires at least 2 volts to charge. So I figured I was unlucky because the battery was completely dead to run it. I left my machine in storage and didn't start it for a while and the battery was slowly draining completely. In desperation, and after some reading of the instructions, I realized that since it has a polarity sensor to determine the correct positive andβ¦
