After extensive use of this product I can definitely say that the motorized brush head is useless for cat hair. It just lays the hair in a line instead of sucking it up. I have owned several Black & Decker Upright Vacuums over the years and have always been happy with them. On previous models the suction was great and the vacuum never lost suction no matter how full the dust box was (reasonably). And with other B&D models, I've never had trouble completely emptying the dust box and the filter almost never got clogged. But the suction power of this model is terrible!
