I am a teacher for 1 year olds and we did a project with colored sand so I could put the sand in the shakers and let them shake it themselves. They really liked the art project because they could shake off the sand themselves.

I bought these for a Thanksgiving dinner I was having and they served the purpose well. They were durable and the amount I got for the money spent was a great buy. The plastic we have is very durable, to the point that I haven't thrown mine away I will be saving it for my next event!

This is amazing! I actually bought these so the kids could grind sugar while decorating cookies. They're small, easy to use, and the holes are small enough that a ton of sugar doesn't squirt out like big sugar bottles do. Also, each child could have their own set to avoid arguments over someone using the color they wanted. They're good enough to use as collectible salt and pepper shakers, and inexpensive enough not to worry if they break or get thrown away.
